Handcrafted bronze sculpture SALE Ballerina Dancer Poised Collette Signed Sale. This sculpture is in perfect condition.

Bronze Dimensions with Marble Base: Height 33" x Width 10". This is a captivating bronze study of the beautiful ballet dancer Natacha Nattova and a depiction of the dance she performed in front of a Prussian Prince who was so captivated that he asked to marry her. When you look over the sculpture and the depth and warmth of the patina meet your eye, it sends a sense of calmness and gracefulness. It's almost as if the sculpture is a picture of a lullaby in still motion. She points her toe, carefully and gracefully she turns her body, even her fingers are positioned in a polite manner.

Her beautifully proportioned body is accented by the ballet dress she wears. Creasing with gravity and fluid movement, the bodice is similar to a corset adorned with beautiful roses by her left shoulder. The skirt is wide and flowing at the hips giving nice dimension to the dancer.

She was captured using the thousand year old method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina stain for preservation. She enchants mounted atop a black marble base with the artist.
