Manufactured NEW & Brought to you by: RefrigeratorPartReplacements. The reason these are not as heavy as the OEM, is because they are made from the Proper 99% Pure Refrigeration Aluminum, and the OEM Does NOT appear to be, which is the reason that the OEM seems to oxidize and get pit holes in them and leak, and why the OEM is much heavier, seeming to have copper and/or other likely heavier metals in them, that would make them cheaper to produce! Heavier is Not Better, it is worse in evaporators! Evaporators are supposed to be made out of extremely light 99% Pure Refrigeration Aluminum!
Check out any other brands of domestic evaporators, and you will notice that they are all aluminum, and extremely light, and the only ones that are Heavy are SubZero evaporators, that seem to be prone to corrosion, oxidation and leaking, appearing to have other heavier metals in them, which will cause them to oxidize and get pit holes in them, in cold wet environments, like in a refrigerator or freezer! These evaporators were designed to Exceed the OEM Quality to avoid future leaking, as everyone is aware, has been a forever problem with SubZero evaporators! Acetylene Torch is ideal, Oxy-Acetylene is too hot for domestic refrigeration installation, as all experienced techs are well aware of. If you are an A/C tech, oxy-acetylene(cutting torch 3000 degs) is TOO HOT to use on domestic refrigeration! Proven Superior Quality for many years!
This Brand New Manufactured Part# 4204400PR / 3130270PR, is an exact spec replacement for a Subzero evaporator 4204400 / 3130270, for the OEM Subzero Evaporator for Refrigerator. Please Note: Mounting holes have been slightly offset to insure remounting is tighter than mounting back into the same mounting holes, which always leaves loose mounting screws! No tapping necessary, just screw the original screw back into the soft metal back panel, in new locations, for tight installation fit.
It is the Exact Dimensions of the SubZero OEM 4204400 / 3130270 Evaporator, made with Superior Quality 99% Pure Refrigeration Aluminum to last longer than the Original, but this evaporator is NOT the OEM. Important Note: Check Serial Break! 550 Use Regardless of Serial# 650 Use Prior to Serial #2128097. You MUST get a Qualified Service Company or Technician to install this evaporator, that is licensed and properly trained to install it!
If you try to install it yourself, you own it, if you are not a LICENSED AND QUALIFIED SERVICE COMPANY OR TECHNICIAN! Any replacements, that are requested, due to a FACTORY DEFECT, NOT INSTALLATION, will require you sending pics of the evaporator, and the problem, clearly shown in the pics, as well as a copy of your State Licensing, that shows you are Legally Qualified to do service and installation, on sealed systems! No Exceptions will be made! These are much higher quality evaporators, made of 99% Pure Refrigeration Aluminum, to resist any corrosion factors, that have been specially manufactured to address and stop the leaking issues of the oem evaporators, well known to the service companies, for many years. These are NOT the oem made evaporators, that have a long history of leaking, as everyone is aware of.
This is a Summer Sale, so the prices will go back up to normal price in a few weeks. The mounting holes have been moved intentionally, because the existing holes become larger, due to the very soft metal back panel, and the evaporator does not re-install tightly, as it was from the Factory. All Experienced, Qualified Techs know to tap new holes, with the screw, as the metal is so soft, that there is NO PILOT HOLES REQUIRED, to get the screws to screw into the new metal area of the back wall, making the evaporator tightly mounted to the back wall, unlike if you used the same holes!
As well, the reason that the evaporator is not as "heavy" as the original, is because the original is not made out of the proper, 99% REFRIGERATION ALUMINUM ONLY, unlike a lot of the OEM Evaporators that are mixed with copper, that give it more weight, and also cause early corrosion, that leads to premature leaking, due to pinhole leaks. Then there is the subject of "swaging"? All evaporators and compressors have to be manipulated, with a swaging tool or less, to get the matching tubing to fit, so it is tight before accepting solder! Again, Common sense and Experience, as well as being Qualified and Licensed, and there are no issues. Crimping the capillary inlet on the side, to close up any excess opening, or not, may also be necessary with all capillary inlets.
Experience is the key to Proper installation of ANY sealed system component, and is no different with these evaporators. Slight changes for legal purposes were made, but they install perfectly, and are designed and manufactured to last longer than the oems! ANY LEAKS YOU END UP WITH AFTER INSTALLATION, YOU CAUSED AT THAT POINT!
